Specialist programs
Electives program
Our annual electives program is a highlight of our school culture. Each term 3, staff from all areas–teaching, administration, support, and grounds–collaborate to offer a diverse range of creative and challenging activities. This teamwork ensures all students have engaging opportunities beyond the classroom.
The electives run over three Thursdays, with each session lasting one hour in the afternoon. Students explore interests, develop skills, and learn alongside peers from different year levels. The program ends with a whole-school assembly, where students share their experiences and achievements.
Our electives program remains an important tradition, fostering curiosity, creativity, and connection. We look forward to the exciting opportunities the 2026 program will bring.

Wellbeing curriculum - CREW
At Robertstown Primary, we believe in community and collaboration. Our wellbeing program, CREW: “We Are All Crew, No Passengers”, fosters a culture of collective responsibility, where everyone actively contributes to a safe, supportive, and thriving environment.
Every day, students and staff join twice for 15-minute sessions focused on building key life skills. During these sessions, we celebrate our similarities and differences, promote tolerance, and strengthen our sense of belonging. Students develop traits such as:
- Resilience: to persevere in the face of challenges
- Empathy: to understand and connect with others
- Courage: to take risks and advocate for what’s right
- Compassion: to care deeply about the wellbeing of others
- Integrity: to act with honesty and purpose
- Craftsmanship: to value quality and effort in everything we do.
This program nurtures social and emotional growth and aligns with the Department for Education’s Area of Impact – Wellbeing. We are proud of the positive impact CREW has had on student development, shaping compassionate, capable, and active community members ready to navigate the wider world.
Piano lessons
We are delighted to offer students the opportunity to develop their musical talents through our specialist Piano Lessons Program. These one-on-one lessons, funded by the school, are available for any student interested in exploring music beyond the standard curriculum.
Our experienced piano teacher, Chris Doecke, conducts lessons each Tuesday during the school term. This program allows students to learn at their own pace, build confidence, and discover the joy of making music in a supportive environment.
If your child is eager to learn piano or wishes to expand their musical skills, please contact us for more information about enrollment and availability.
